Introducing Alabama Alive!

Alabama Alive

Over the past few weeks, I have been building another awesome website that you should check out!  Alabama Alive! is a project started by Dianna Michaels, and the site is all ready to go!  Below is her very first post on the new site.

Welcome to Alabama Alive!  We’re glad you clicked on us, now check us out.  This has been a long-awaited project we are excited to roll out appropriately on May 1, 2014.  May Day as it’s known, an ancient northern hemisphere spring festival and in some countries a public holiday; it is also a traditional spring holiday in many cultures.  May Day coincides with International Worker’s Day, and in many countries that celebrate the latter, it may be referred to as “May Day.”  For more information on “May Day” consult wiki at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Day.

So on this festival of spring and all things new and fresh, we bring you Alabama Alive!  An interactive website showcasing Alabama’s diverse and exciting, cultural, entertainment, and recreational trails while providing a forum for shared experiences.  Started in December 2013, the concept of this site arose out of a need for promoting a local festival on a state level with one phone call or the click of one button on one site that would reach a large populous.  In order to do so, we were willing to pay for that kind of simple, fast and far-reaching advertising but could not find the site which met such a need at that time.  From this particular need, grew the idea of a festival trail, then a beer trail; since brew pubs were becoming ever so popular in the state of Alabama, then with the re-creation of Main Street Alabama, a Main Street trail, then there was a request from a colleague to host a YMCA trail, and then the trail ideas exploded and became practically endless in theory.

We had to start somewhere; however, so we start with the trails we have now with others to be added in time.  Keep in mind, we are new and in the early (spring)  growing stages; like a seedling, we will grow and mature in time.  Your suggestions, ideas and support through advertising will be the sunshine and water needed to prosper!  Now, what are you waiting for… go explore a trail or two and be sure to check out our advertising opportunities, call for more information: 256.239.8094.
