To our knowledge, no one has been 2m/6ft from an exploding atomic bomb or nuclear weapon. The nearest anyone has been where the victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, but they were just over 500m away from the detonation point and the physics of what happens just at 2m is very different to 500m.

But if some was unlucky enough to find themselves in such a position what would happen to them, the atoms that make up their body, would they just be erased from existence or would something else happen to them. In this video we look at what happens to the human body 6ft from an exploding atomic bomb.
