A half live action and animated children’s series featuring Medical Mythbuster, Joel Bervell, and Little Leland.
Every episode, Leland’s curious mind has a new medical question answered by Dr. Joel and his talking medical supplies, Otto, Zada and Sammie! Each episode focuses on teaching a medical lesson that a child of Leland’s age may encounter – having an earache, getting a cold, losing a tooth, etc. Dr. Joel helps the audience understand and learn what’s going on in an interactive and educational way!
The best part is that “The Doctor Is In” spotlights that Black and Brown children can become doctors too! After all,”See it, be it!”
Little Leland is a 5-year-old Black boy who’s so excited to grow up to be a doctor! He wants to be just like his role model, Dr. Joel Bervell, a local pediatrician who looks just like him. Together, Dr. Joel and Leland love explaining medical concepts to the audience. With the help of Dr. Joel’s friendly, talking medical supplies, both Leland and the audience will learn something new!
As of October 17th, this project has raised $12,000 of their $60,000 goal. This project has 14 days left to raise the $60,000 or it will not be funded.
