Crowdsourcing Mornings: Kavango Game

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Grab up to four friends and travel to Kavango, home to some of the world’s most iconic animals! Take on the role of a conservation expert with special abilities to help you transform your unique landscape into a thriving nature reserve.

Build a flourishing ecosystem over three fast paced rounds of card drafting.
As you grow your nature reserve, complete research tasks to earn money and invest in protection so you can provide a safe haven for vulnerable and endangered animals. As the game progresses, your choices become harder and your strategy more complex.

To win, you must build the highest scoring nature reserve by introducing animals, completing research and winning end-of-game conservation awards.

With engaging, simultaneous turns and deeply thematic design, Kavango is thrilling from your very first play. Modelled on inspirational real life conservation success stories, Kavango gives a superb insight into the world of conservation in southern Africa while inspiring players to believe in the power of positive action.

As of October 17th, this project has raised $202,000 of their $6,078 goal. This project has 2 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $60, you will get one special edition game.  For a pledge of $84, you will get one deluxe game.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mazazagames/kavango?
