’Stached is an animated short created by Patch Animation. This story is deeply rooted in personal struggle and regained hope. It navigates the difficulties of letting go and reminds us that sometimes all we need is a nudge in the right direction. ’Stached is currently in pre-production and set to transition into the production phase later this year.
When Terry, a retired paleontologist, loses his most prized possession, he’s determined to do anything to get it back. His adventure doesn’t come without obstacles—the biggest one being a spiteful hermit crab, Mupp. In search to fill their respective voids, they unearth something they never knew could be found in the sand.
This animated short was inspired by a powerful true story of renewed hope that deeply moved us. From the beginning, we quickly resonated with the idea that letting go isn’t easy, but holding on can be even harder. ’Stached presents a new perspective in a familiar way, and it’s our shared experiences that connect us. Though conceived in 2019, we feel this film is even more relevant today and hope it helps anyone going through difficulties understand that they’re not alone.
As of May 13th, this project has raised $51,000 of their $54,000 goal. This project has 2 days left to raise the $54,000 or it will not be funded.
