If you live in the Birmingham Metro, there is a convention happening this weekend that you should know about! BlazerCon 2019 is taking place on the UAB campus at the UAB Hill Student Center On April 5-7. You do not need to be a UAB student to attend, anyone is welcome! Level up and assemble friends for an exciting three-day convention jam-packed with a variety of experiences celebrating gaming and nerd culture. The event will feature competitive gaming tournaments, tabletop games, professional and career networking opportunities, workshops and panels, free film screenings daily, a cosplay contest, and more.
Some of the biggest panels taking place at BlazerCon 2019 includes a WWE panel, Magic City Con panel, Yes/No Gameshow, RWBY Panel, and more. There will be several gaming tournaments, a cosplay contest, movie screenings, and there will be a Dell Keynote Speaker featuring Jeanne Weber.
Tickets are $7 per day and $15 for a weekend pass. (FREE for UAB students, faculty, and staff with valid ONE card) And parking is free.
