If you remember the whole Paula Deen saga, you know that she mostly lost everything after she was accused of using racial slurs.  Her Food Network shows were taken off the air for good.  And many companies backed out of contracts with Paula Deen.  I even wrote a post defending Paula Deen and the way most companies were treating her.  Now, Paula Deen is back!  And this September, Paula Deen is launching the Paula Deen Network.  Which will be a digital/online network and will feature daily programming in an unscripted format with new recipes, episodes, and cooking tools.  The entire network will be online based, here is a first video!

Here is a statement from Paula Deen about the new network.  “Guess who’s going digital, y’all! I’m so excited about my new online network and can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on.  We’re going to have so much fun being together and cooking up some wonderful new and classic dishes. Y’all can get my recipes, tips and cooking anytime you want — this is for you.  I can’t wait to crank up the oven and get cooking for the people I love: my family, my friends and my fans!”

The online service will be subscription based and will be accessible on your computer, smartphone, or tablet.  The programming on the digital network will include both short-form and long-form content, including shows like 20-Minute Meals, Paula Cooking Light, and One Dish, Three Ways.  Paula Deen is now taping the shows to be featured on the digital network in a studio in Savannah.  And the studio will even have a live studio audience!  More cooking shows needs a live audience!

Now, you can sign up for a free newsletter and get news and special offers about the Paula Deen Network.  If you sign up, you will be entered to win an all-expense paid trip for two to Savannah, GA to be a part of Paula’s live studio audience as well as with other fabulous prizes!  In addition…you could win one of 15 Paula Deen porcelain cook sets that will be awarded weekly!  I think this a great move for Paula Deen!  Online shows are the future of how we watch shows.  And if Paula Deen can make this right, this will be a big hit!
