Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:  https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

The Game Makers features seamless simultaneous play, allowing even 6-player games to finish within 90 minutes. Each turn begins with players simultaneously moving their active forklifts around the massive warehouse at the center of the table. Each resource is broken down into three levels. The better the resource you acquire, the longer you’ll have to wait to move your forklift again.

Each card and resource in The Game Makers are dual purpose. Not only can each resource be used to fulfill a contract but it can also be used to upgrade your factory!

For example, you can add plastic buildings to your factory to unlock asymmetric abilities or endgame bonus scoring.

Adding tiles to your assembly line gives you permanent discounts on manufacturing games. Don’t work harder; work smarter! Even better, little diamond-shaped holes will appear in your assembly line, allowing players to use their free one-off upgrades known as TWEENIEs or Thermal Working Engine Extraction Node Interface Elements!

Everybody loves dice! Dice aren’t just used to fulfill game contracts though. Players can roll their dice and use the results to increase their marketing tracks, which are endgame score multipliers. If you’re focusing on Cooperative and Set Collection games, it probably would be best to let the whole world know. Each of the marketing tracks scores differently depending on the type of games you manufacture: Engine Building, Set Collection, Cooperative, or Wargame. The fifth marketing track multiplies your score for planting trees and being the most eco-friendly manufacturer.

Even the cards are dual purpose. Will you use the card as a contract and manufacture your favorite game? Or will you use your favorite game as a component to fulfill another contract? Once a contract has been fulfilled, the game is immediately placed on your display case! The endgame is triggered when one player fills their display case.
