Freezemachine is a heavy alternative rock band from Long Beach, California, led by frontman Jordan Schmidt. Blending elements of Nu Metal, Post-Punk, and Shoegaze, their sound is a mix of melodic heaviness and experimental beats.
Inspired by Deftones, Spiritbox, Nirvana, and My Bloody Valentine, Jordan’s music explores themes of mental health and personal struggles, using raw, passionate vocals and intricate, rhythm focused guitar work.
Freezemachine’s debut single “Thought You Knew” fuses raw aggression with melody, while tracks like “Give up the Ghost” and “The Water’s Fine” offer both intensity and serenity. Produced by Drew Kapner (Twenty One Pilots, At The Drive-In), and mastered by Mike Bozzi (Linkin Park, Kendrick Lamar), Freezemachine delivers a powerful and polished sonic experience.
