Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) continued to dazzle night sky viewers on Tuesday night in spite of a nearly full moon. While the moonlight began to wash out the skies, the comet could still be seen with its spectacular long tail emerging from twilight. Around an hour after sunset has proven to be the general best viewing window thus far, though the comet is expected to begin fading soon. Next week, night sky watchers across the US should be in for quite the show as the moon begins to rise later in the evening, interfering less with the comet’s dark skies.
