Kona Finds a Family is a story of never giving up hope and showing how despite our differences, we all can find someone who loves us. Kona is a puppy who is looking for her furever home, but for one reason or another, keeps not being picked by families when they come looking for a puppy to adopt. Eventually, Kona gets picked by a special little girl, and finds that love is there for her, as long as you never give up hope.
I have always loved dogs having growing up with them my whole life. Heck, my favorite Disney movie is the Fox and the Hound. For years now, I have wanted to write a children’s book, and when we got our real-life Kona, she became the inspiration for this book. She’s so much fun, with a spunk and personality that are second to none. What better way to share that with others, than to bring her to life in a story that can be shared far and wide!
I am self-publishing this book, and backers help to cover the costs of illustrating and publishing the book, maintaining the website, and shipping and marketing materials. One of the key costs for this project is using a traditional illustrator to do the artwork for the book rather than using AI.
