A decade ago, Lin set foot in the U.S., a land of boundless opportunities, determined to turn her aspirations into reality. While pursuing her MBA, the cherished flavors of her mother’s Chinese cooking became the inspiration for Yishi, a brand dedicated to crafting wholesome, gluten-free oatmeal with enticing, culturally rooted flavors.
With unwavering dedication, Lin meticulously developed her recipes in her own kitchen. She began her journey by introducing her brand to local stores and farmer’s markets, sharing the authentic taste of her heritage with her newfound community. The road to success was riddled with challenges, but Lin’s indomitable spirit paid off, leading Yishi to secure a coveted spot on the shelves of Whole Foods stores across the nation soon after its launch.
Now, as a proud U.S. citizen, Lin’s products are thriving in over 3,000 stores nationwide, including major retailers like Walmart and Target. Yishi has also been featured in New York Magazine, Bon Appetit, and Forbes, and it won 2023 the Best Instant Oatmeal by PEOPLE Magazine. Lin was recently named Forbes’s 30 Under 30.
