“Love Language” follows SYLVIA and JAMES as they navigate the final three months of their relationship. Their resentment is often silent, manifesting in passing comments and lingering in every frame. Their relationship is held together by toxic codependency and the remainder of their lease.
This film explores partners struggling with their loved one working as a sex worker, a relationship that uses drugs as a mediator, and more.
The specifics of Sylvia and James’s situation may be strange to some and familiar to others, but the underlying emotions and dynamics of their relationship are universal. Many people have experienced the conflict of wanting to be with someone they love deeply, while failing to recognize that the relationship is causing them more harm than good.
As of November 3rd, this project has raised $10,100 of their $10,000 goal. This project has 8 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $25, you will get a digital copy of the film. For a pledge of $55, you will get one digital film copy and signed poster. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lovelanguagekick/love-language-a-short-film?
