Kyle Joshua Trask is recording his debut solo album!
Ever since I was a kid, music was the only thing I ever wanted to surround myself with, create, and chase after. Now, I’m recording my first studio album as a solo artist and I need your help!
I’ve spent most of my life on the road playing for strangers in bars, venues, fire halls, festivals, basements, backyards, and the in-between. Those formative years taught me how to grow, learn, be scared, jump in head first, and become who I am today. Coming from Indie Rock, I was a kid who used music to vocalize often what I couldn’t. What I didn’t realize at the time was how rooted my songwriting was in 90s rock, country, soul, blues, pop, and other genres that just felt GOOD. Having clinical depression, music has always made me feel like I have a voice, so I’ve always wanted to provide some sort of connection for others who may not have found theirs.
My self titled album is a project I’m so damn excited about. It delves into trauma, heartache, joy, forgiveness, and compassion. It ties all loose ends together, creates a narrative of my life, and helps you visualize my emotions. It will also feature some of my favorite artists and musicians I’ve gotten to know here in Nashville that more than happy to call friends.
The goal for this campaign is to fund $10,000 to help offset some the costs of what it takes to make a full length record. This includes, but is certainly not limited to:
- Engineers
- Musicians
- Studio Rentals
- Equipment Fees
- Mixing / Mastering
All of those costs don’t even begin to cover photographers, video shoots, press releases, merchandise orders, consulting, and countless other gears that will be in motion in order to have this record reach its fullest potential. By helping me achieve my fundraising goal, you’ll see a New England boy’s musical dreams become realized.
