Crowdsourcing Mornings: The Day The Clouds Went Away

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Guided by her wise owl, Iris, and a bumbling wizard named Fumbledore, a nearly blind Princess Claudia discovers that sometimes the things we take for granted are the most important of all.

The Day the Clouds Went Away is a beautifully illustrated whimsical tale that shares the importance of clouds in our lives, even on rainy days.

Written by Richard Rieman, Illustrated by Barbara Owczarek, Edited by Lor Bingham.

Princess Claudia wants her birthday to be perfect, so when dark storm clouds roll in and threaten her celebrations, she orders her trusty Wizard Fumbledore to make them disappear.

A simple birthday wish goes sideways and Princess Claudia must figure out how to save her Princessdom from disaster.

What happens when there are no clouds?

While an imaginative story, it is rich with opportunities for teachers and parents to further the conversation about what your child might do if suddenly all of the clouds disappeared.
