HEATHENS is an action-comedy dark fantasy indie animation series about demons, devotion, and an era coming to an end. Literally, our excuse to make anime lol. Our 8-minute pilot ‘Hellhounders’ follows Axel, a demon, sentinel, and rookie-in-training as he takes on the task of hunting a hellhound and drags along his friends for the ride! If you love worldbuilding, fights, and insane characters like we do, this one’s for you 😉
HEATHENS is being created completely by STUDIO PSYCHO, a dream team of both award-winning/nominated and on-the-rise artists from around the world. Our members have worked in studios and on productions such as:
‘Heathens’ is the accumulation of falling dominoes finally intertwining and coming to fruition. Set in a karmic society where Heaven and Hell work together to maintain the status quo in the absence of God, our triple-threat trio of idiot demons navigate their lives, seek out their devotions, and get caught up in a fated series of events.
So far, we’ve spent 25K USD out of pocket, and with your help, we hope to raise funds for the finished production of the pilot! We have been in production for this episode since late 2022, with the script, animatic, and even some of the animations already completed! And with the success of this Kickstarter, we’d like the funds to help take us home to post-production, and a release sometime late 2024 to early 2025!
As of May 1st, this project has raised $21,000 of their $39,205 goal. This project has 37 days left to raise the $39,205 or it will not be funded.
