Crowdsourcing Mornings: Working In: The Arts

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:  https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

“Working In: The Arts” is the second comic anthology by CHIP Collective! This 68-page book is an informative collaborative comic highlighting the HUGE variety of potential career paths and opportunities within the field of the arts, to show that there’s no one way to break into the creative field, and to break stigmas and negative stereotypes surrounding working in the creative field.

For this comic we’ve interviewed 9 creatives working professionally in the arts, including: Animation, Comics, Games, Graphic Design, Illustration, Jewellery, Textiles, Photography and Fashion Photography. All of these creatives, while working in different fields and locations across the UK, share one thing in particular – ties to Scotland – to help illustrate how varied creative opportunities can be!

This comic is targeted towards anyone with an interest in knowing the behind-the-scenes of the professional art world! Whether you’re a student about to make choices towards university, a newcomer to the creative field, or you’re wanting to better understand and support someone close to you with their future in the arts, this book is for you!

As of July 1st, this project has raised $10,000 of their $11,193 goal. This project has 5 days left to raise the $11,193 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $7, you will get your name in the book.  For a pledge of $17, you will get one book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chipcollective/working-in-the-arts?
