Convention Tuesdays: CoastCon 42, Inuhele Tiki Weekend, Tennessee Game Days XV, Cardboard*Con 2020

Welcome to Convention Tuesdays! Every Tuesday, I will feature and highlight conventions happening during the upcoming weekend in Alabama, or within short driving distances from Alabama.

March 6-8 — CoastCon 42 — Biloxi, Mississippi

CoastCon is Mississippi’s longest running and largest science fiction, fantasy and gaming convention. It is the main sponsored event of CoastCon, Inc., a non-profit literary organization. CoastCon, Inc. and its ten-member volunteer board develop events and gatherings to promote reading, education, fellowship, and science fiction, fantasy and gaming in all formats across the Southern United States, for over forty years.

March 6-8 — Inuhele Tiki Weekend — Atlanta, Georgia

The 2020 Tiki Weekend event will feature 3 days of programming, bands, panels, dealers, artists, hands on crafting and everything you need to learn to make your homebar or backyard luau amazing! Plus this year: panels on practical mermaiding and more speakers and guests! Join us for a tikitastic party thrown east-coast southern style. Come join the voyage as we laugh, learn, and party the night away!

March 6-8 — Tennessee Game Days XV — Franklin, Tennessee

Tennessee Game Days is an open gaming convention held annually just south of Nashville, TN. Attendees from all over Tennessee, surrounding states, and from places far and wide, gather for three solid days of open gaming. All kinds of board and card games will be available for play and you can find willing opponents for just about any game.

March 7 — Cardboard*Con — Atlanta, Georgia

Cardboard*Con is the first and only science fiction / fantasy convention dedicated to the art of cardboard costuming. Encompassing more than 3 Atlanta downtown hotels, Cardboard*Con will has become a tradition among all fun-loving nerds. The SECRET of Cardboard*Con is that there really isn’t a plan – you have to make it fun all by yourself, using your imagination and your manners.
