Have you heard of McKamey Manor? It now operates in Tennessee and Alabama, and it is pretty much a extreme haunted attraction where you could have your teeth pulled, be tattooed, hit and possibly get broken bones, and more. I find it insane that over 20,000 are on a waiting list for this. The attraction is so horrid the owners have to call the local police each weekend before doing the next show. Yes, it’s that insane. Now, a petition has over 80,000 signatures and growing. The petition calls for the shutdown of McKamey Manor. Here is the summary of the petition.
Mckamey Manor. Advertised as “an extreme haunt” when in fact it is NOT a haunted house. It’s a torture chamber under disguise. they do screenings to find the weakest, most easily manipulated people to do the ‘haunt.’ if russ doesnt think you’re easily manipulated, you arent allowed to go.
He uses loopholes to get out of being arrested. Previously no safe word was allowed, he changed that but there’s been reports that the torture continues even when people repeat their safeword for several minutes. One man was tortured so badly he passed out multiple times, workers only stopped because they thought they had killed him.
Signing waivers literally means nothing (many reddit posts about it with actual lawyers saying you are legally allowed to revoke yourself at any time — but russ doesnt allow that as seen in his “waiver”) it is seriously just torture porn. mckamey manor is a shame to all haunted houses, & needs to be shut down. people don’t pay money to get in, which is technically the loophole – that they’re “doing it for fun” (& its not fun after about 10 minutes of getting duct tape wrapped around your head, forced to eat things, be waterboarded & forced underwater.)
There’s been reports of sexual assault at the manor. There’s reports that he hires workers with violent histories & sex offenders.
He uses needles to inject people with drugs, forces them to ingest pills/questionable items to force hallucinations also.
Its literally just a kidnapping & torture house. Some people have had to seek professional psychiatric help and medical care for extensive injuries.
I propose that all locations where this is happening be shut down immediately.
Now, yes getting scared on Halloween is a common thing, haunted houses and attractions do a great job with this. But, torturing and harming people is not a Halloween attraction. It’s simply wrong! I really can’t believe McKamey Manor is still in business. I think the authorities in Tennessee and Alabama must close this down once and for all.
