The 2017 Cheaha Challenge, Gran Fondo Century / ULTRA, and the Chief Ladiga Cruise Family Ride were really good this year. This year, the 25th anniversary of the event required cyclists to complete a grueling bicycle ride over numerous large hill climbs. The event featured several stages cyclists could attempt from 24 miles to an over 100 mile ULTRA with many large mountain climbs.
This event has been ranked as one of the top cycling events in the United States and the entire world. And thankfully the weather held out for this event as hundreds of cyclists rode in this event. Riding along Alabama’s highways and seeing the beauty of Mount Cheaha is always a treat for any cyclist in this event. Below are pictures and a video from the event!
