The Auburn / Opelika Metro area has been on a winning streak! Many websites including Forbes have ranked the metro area as one of the top 10 metro areas in America for business. And the metro is one of the top 10 smartest metro areas in America, and one of the best performing metro areas in America. It’s not all because of Auburn University, the metro area has attracted many good paying jobs, and it’s near the Columbus Georgia Metro area, and Fort Benning. It’s a far cry from the Anniston/Oxford Metro area, where Geek Alabama is based.
Now, another small business is opening up in downtown Opelika. And this business promises to help startups thrive. The Round House Startup Space is opening on Friday December 5th in downtown Opelika, ready to serve the needs of the creatives, the developers, the designers, the founders, the entrepreneurs, the startups, and the doers from Auburn, Opelika, Phenix City, Smith Station and surrounding areas, backed by Opelika’s super fast fiber internet connection that is city owned. Round House promises to be a co-working space, an incubator, an accelerator, and a meetup space for user groups and creatives. Plus an event space for entrepreneurs, doers, and thinkers.
On Friday December 5th, Round House will hold a ribbon cutting at their brand new location in downtown Opelika on 1016 S. Railroad Street. They will cut the ribbon at 4 pm and hold an open house from 5-7 pm. They will have food from the Irish Bred Pub and coke products. Anyone who is a startup founder, creative, entrepreneur, developer, designer, or just want to learn more about Round House is welcome to attend! Let’s hope Round House makes the Auburn / Opelika Metro area even better!
