Welcome to the Good News Fridays segment! Each week here on Geek Alabama, Good News Fridays will feature something good, wholesome, positive, and overall something great. After a long and stressful week, we all need something good to read or watch on Fridays! Enjoy a heartwarming post below!
Fairhope feels like one of those towns you stumble into by accident and end up remembering for years. We started the morning at Provision with two coffees that tasted like someone actually cared. Mary Ann’s Deli gave us a sandwich that was simple, honest and perfect fuel for a slow walk through the Fairhope French Quarter, where everything feels pristine, quiet and deliberate.
Down by the pier, we met two fishermen who shared stories about their lives on the bay. No rush, no performance, just real conversation carried on the wind coming off the water. As the sun dipped into Mobile Bay, the sky turned soft peach and gold, the kind of colours a camera never quite captures the way your eyes do.
Dinner at Sunset Pointe might be one of the best plates of food we’ve had in America. No exaggeration. Just a quiet table, good cooking and a moment that felt bigger than it should have. We ended the night by the fire with a glass of wine, watching the sunset fade into a star-filled sky over the marina. A small Alabama town offering one of the calmest, most beautiful days of the trip.
