More and more people under 50 are being diagnosed with colorectal cancer. These young people don’t seem to have any of the usual risk factors for colorectal cancer, like an inherited genetic mutation. after some sleuthing, scientists might have an answer… in the form of E. coli and a toxin it produces in our own guts.
