Ever wanted to play as a Lovecraftian cultist trying to summon an eldritch horror—but instead, you’re stuck arguing over robes and snacks? Welcome to The Cultists RPG, the comedy roleplaying game where you and your friends take on the absurdity of modern-day cult life!
The Cultists RPG is a rules-light RPG based on the Low Stakes rules written by Craig Campbell and is specifically designed to replicate the feel of mockumentary stories at the gaming table, complete with the asides for “direct to the camera” confessions which can reveal unexpected details about your character or complicate life for the other players.
But, these rules have been specifically tailored to The Cultists so players can step right into the fun and madness of the cults of Yog-Sothoth, Dagon, Cthulhu, Shub, and Azathoth.
As of August 7th, this project has raised $2,300 of their $500 goal. This project has 6 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $12, you will get one PDF rulebook and virtual tabletop.
