Welcome to Disability Awesome. Each week, this post will feature a person or persons with mental and / or physical disabilities who are doing awesome things! As someone with an disability, I love it when others when disabilities do great things!
As pilgrims continue to mourn the loss of Pope Francis, thousands of people with disabilities from over 90 countries gathered in Rome for the Jubilee of Hope, celebrating faith and raising awareness about the dignity of all human beings. The two-day event, ‘The Jubilee of People with Disabilities,’ included Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and confessions tailored to participants’ needs. Pilgrims gathered to reflect on the event and honor the legacy of Pope Francis. Catholic News Agency’s Rome Correspondent Courtney Mares has more.
