Over 10 years ago, Trey Edward Shults launched a Kickstarter campaign when he was hoping to transition to a feature film director. That campaign earned a little more than $14k, and the film ended up on the A24 label and would win the John Cassavetes Independent Spirit Award. That film was Krisha, and he has made two films with A24 since. Because of Kickstarter, he was able to realize his dreams, and he is a major part of the A24 story. Kickstarter is part of our A24 story. Literally.
The A24 New Wave is a new book by Aaron West, edited by Jill Blake. This campaign is to finance the printing, production, and to launch CineJourneys Press to publish this book and future film related books. A24 is the film distributor and production company behind films such as Moonlight, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Lady Bird, Hereditary, The Witch, and many more.
We have this awesome book, and we want to get it into your hands! It will be enjoyed by hard core cinephiles, casual movie fans that are interested in A24, and people who like non-fiction narratives.
As of January 22nd, this project has raised $2,500 of their $3,000 goal. This project has 36 days left to raise the $3,000 or it will not be funded.
