Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment! Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others. The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal. Please enjoy today’s featured project!

In LET US IN, a slice-of-life comic anthology, six creative teams of international comic book creators combine reality and fiction to tell their real-life stories as they attempt to break into the US-centric comic book industry.
It all started with a social media post.
The responses showed many issues with international creators attempting to join the comic book industry scene.
The comic industry owes us nothing, and we chose this path, yet conditions could improve – vastly – and they could begin to value us more.
Is all of this present in other industries? Probably. Does it make it less of a problem? Nope. It’s time to speak up.
This book is about its creators, their struggles, and how they reflect the comic book industry and the world’s state. It’s a mix of reality and fiction, as the creators seem fit to tell a genuine story of fighting for your dreams in a foreign industry.

As of November 15th, this project has raised $3,300 of their $5,500 goal. This project has 2 days left to raise the $5,500 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $8, you will get one digital copy. For a pledge of $16, you will get one standard edition. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/devinarscottcomics/let-us-in-an-anthology-by-non-us-creators?
