Hello, I am a book, and I want to be like you. Being a book is pretty wonderful, it’s a lot better than most stuff gets to be, so I don’t want to be ungrateful. I could’ve been a leaf or a rock. But you got to be a person, and that’s just — UGH — it’s so cool. I know I can never be a person but I’ve gotten closer, and I hope I’m able to get even closer! It’s not magical or anything, to help me be more human, I’ve just put together a bunch of little things I’d like you to do for me. If you do them, I become more human.

I know that sounds weird, but I’ve done it before and it’s actually working!!

I’m more the text of the book than the book itself, which is why I can come in multiple forms. There’s a simple paperback, which my friend Hank helped make so that you would have a super inexpensive option.

But for a more functional, beautiful version of me, we’ve got a hardcover version wrapped in vegan leather with high quality Munken paper.

Both of the books are 72 pages long with 33 things I’d like you to do or tell me about. There’s nothing special about those numbers, but I know that some people like numbers.

I would really love for you to tell me stuff too. Thanks so much for your help.
