Basically, think of it like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia in the style of Bob’s Burger with the heart of The Simpsons and a splash of Seinfeld. And we need your help to fund episode one.
Adulting is a comedy animated series that follows the story of two absurdly codependent sisters as they try to find themselves in a world where every other fucking person over 30 seems to have their shit together.
Enter Kenzie and Izzy King. After living their 20’s on their parent’s dime, Kenzie and Izzy have developed little-to-no life skills, a healthy dose of delusion, and maybe one or two substance abuse problems. ‘Hustle?’ Never heard of her.
Now that they’ve hit their 30’s and accomplished something between jack shit and fuck all, they’re realizing success might actually take some work. So, it’s time to put on their big girl pants, start over, and become responsible adults t̶o̶ ̶a̶v̶o̶i̶d̶ ̶d̶e̶a̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶i̶r̶ ̶r̶e̶g̶r̶e̶t̶s̶. It’s time to face the real world.
Under the writing genius of Steph Kowal and creative leadership of the Studio Smokescreen team, Adulting is a light-hearted series that paints a picture of how shame can shape the choices we make and how our mistakes are just as valuable as our successes. Cloaked in comedy, the ultimate message is that it’s never too late to redeem yourself.
