Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

We Are Monthly!!

That’s right, Pulphouse Fiction Magazine is monthly. It has been monthly now for eight months and going strong. Really strong, but we need subscribers to keep us going through the new year and that is what this campaign is all about.

We need your help and in return we will provide you every month with some of the best short fiction being published.

Every backer, with every award, will get a half-year, six-issue subscription starting with the August issue. If you already have a subscription, it will be added to your existing subscription. Otherwise the subscription will start with the August issue.

Pulphouse Fiction Magazine first started in 1991 and during its first run was acclaimed for having the most cutting-edge fiction in all of publishing. Restarted six years ago, it is doing the same now. The magazine pays no attention to genre, only looking for that special high-quality writing and that special feel that makes any story a Pulphouse story.

After six years, we feel it is time to offer lifetime subscriptions to the fans of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. So there is now in the rewards an electronic Lifetime Subscription and a paper Lifetime Subscription.

As with all paper, the shipping is included in the cost.

Yup, we feel that secure about the future of this crazy, fun thing we are doing here.

Since Pulphouse Fiction Magazine stories are unique and high quality, we have put together different anthologies on different topics. Two of the anthologies are full of original stories from authors. The other anthologies have stories reprinted from the pages of the different incarnations of the magazine.

This not only allows readers to see stories they might have missed along the way, but also gives the writers a little extra money and exposure for their stories. (And honestly, we just have a lot of fun making up the titles and trying to fit stories under them.)

In the stretch rewards, if we are lucky to hit them, we will give you even more fun anthologies in the year ahead to be published next spring. Take a look below at the fun covers and topics of those anthologies already done.

You can get your choice of Pick Any Four as an award, or get them all 23 together as a reward. Both ways include a sixmonth subscription. Talk about some fantastic reading.

If you backed a Pulphouse Kickstarter in the last few years, you might already have a few of these in electronic format since all were stretch goal rewards at one point or another.

As of July 10th, this project has raised $1,700 of their $2,000 goal. This project has 9 days left to raise the $2,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $30, you will get a 6-month electronic subscription.  For a pledge of $35, you will get two e-books.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/403649867/pulphouse-fiction-magazine-subscription-drive-2024?
