Crowdsourcing Mornings: The Luminary Pendulum

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

We love transforming forgotten technology into finely crafted tools, and the pendulum is about as ancient as it gets! After exploring the art of “dowsing”, we figured out a way to blend modern engineering with an iconic, five thousand-year-old design. A device to help access your subconscious, light-up your inner spirit, and shine a light into the shadows of your mind.

Machined from solid brass, the Luminary Pendulum is a finely crafted brass orb suspended from a metal chain, used to magnify the minute movements of the person holding it.

Our updated design includes an ultra-violet LED that shines through a focusing lens at the pendulum’s base.

As of October 14th, this project has raised $28,100 of their $28,000 goal. This project has 17 days left to raise as much as it can.  For a pledge of $49, you will get one set.  For a pledge of $179, you will get two sets.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
