Crowdsourcing Mornings: Adopt-A-Maple 2022: This Old House

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Hi there! Thanks for checking out our project and for your interest in our family-run maple farm.

We are humbled by the tremendous support from the Kickstarter community over the past four years, with many of you having adopted a Kettle Ridge Farm maple tree in each of those years. This has enabled us to fulfill our mission of providing local, natural products as part of a sustainable small-farm enterprise. Your support has also allowed us to welcome thousands of families to our unique property and instill an appreciation for maple sugaring and the many other gifts of nature.

SO WE ARE AT IT AGAIN: the fifth year of our Kickstarter campaign for Adopt-a-Maple. By adopting one of our maple trees for the 2022 year, you become part of the tradition at Kettle Ridge Farm. You will receive a custom digital certificate with a photo of your tree along with its GPS coordinates. (We printed these in the past, but decided that was a bit hypocritical since we’re all about saving the trees!). You will also enjoy an assortment of our maple syrups, mailed to you at the end of this year’s maple season (April-June).

As of March 7th, this project has raised $23,000 of their $10,000 goal.  This project has 13 days left to raise as much as it can.  For a pledge of $16, you will get one 375 ml bottle of maple syrup.  For a pledge of $30, you will get one 946 ml bottle of maple syrup.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
