This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Exodus is an Art School that creates space for educators that identify as black, indigenous, and people of color to develop, workshop, and publish curriculum. Our goal is to empower and support both educators and students while creating opportunities for developing art practices and radical pedagogy outside academia.
Under this framework, Exodus is interested in the intersection between fiction and visual arts. We invite educators to develop workshops and long term courses using science fiction, creative writing, experimental film, and music as a catalyst for making.
Although there are many conversations starting to happen in the United States around diversity in education, the structure of this long-standing system lacks space and support for those seeking to develop innovative curriculums. We view this project as an incubator that challenges what art education can look like. We are interested in creating a space that allows for dreaming, community building, safety and access.
Our long term vision for the school is to develop biannual seasons. These seasons will take place in two parts. The summer season will be one of workshopping. We will invite educators to take place in residency to collaboratively develop curriculum under a chosen theme. The fall season will be dedicating to offering courses based on the summer residency.
As of March 15th, this project has raised $1,500 of their $7,000 goal. This project has 30 days left to raise the $7,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $10, you will get digital postcards. For a pledge of $25, you will get a sticker sheet.
