Cullman, Alabama had one very unique Christmas attraction in 2019. The German company Erzgebirgische Holzkunst Gahlenz, handmade intricate pieces of the 30-foot (9-meter) tall pyramid. Then the pieces were shipped to Cullman from the small village of Gahlenz. Three workers from the company traveled to Alabama to help put the attraction together.
The Weihnachtspyramide is a turning, wooden, carousel-like decoration that is typically, in smaller form, hung from ceilings or set on tables. And the one in Cullman is one of three across the USA. The Cullman pyramid has six tiers. And the pyramid is there to honor the German heritage found in the Cullman area.
Below, you can see the Weihnachtspyramide lighted up from the folks of This Is Alabama.
