Pictures And Video From Noble Street Festival 2017

Here are a lot of pictures and an video from the 2017 version of the Noble Street Festival and the Sunny King Criterium.  Photos include action from Big Sam The Balloon Man and Heflin Taekwondo.  After talking to several people at the event, I was in agreement that the Noble Street Festival side of things was somewhat disappointing this year.  There were less kids activities, no music, and few food vendors.  The crowd was kind of okay and I hope next year the event is bigger like in years past that I remember!

The Sunny King Criterium was great as always with a couple of crashes in the women’s and men’s pro races.  So below, enjoy an over 30 minute video and a lot of great photos!

Weekend Planning: Noble Street Festival 2015

Geek Alabama Weekend Planning

Among the many great events happening in Alabama this weekend, is the 2015 Noble Street Festival and Sunny King Criterium.  You can join up to 5,000 other race fans lining the race course for the Sunny King Criterium in historic downtown Anniston, Alabama. Hundreds of pros and amateurs race bikes around the .7 mile closed course multiple times — racing inches apart at speeds reaching 40 mph. Spectators are just inches from the racers as they zoom by on the course.

Cycle races will happen all day starting at 11 am and lasting into the night when the  Professional Men and Women take the course in back to back races under the streetlights.  Along with the cycle races, there are also plenty of other cool things happening!  10 Restaurants will be serving food in the Anniston Restaurant Tour including Zaxby’s, Chick-fil-A, Mata’s Pizza, Prime Dining and Bar, Mellow Mushroom, Cooter Browns, and more.  And the Hot Blast Music Cafe will have local artists singing all day long as well.

The Scion KidZone will be really fun.  You can expect ticketed rides including the popular moonwalk bouncy house, super slide, turbo swing, ferris wheel, passenger train and more!   You can also enjoy face painting, balloon animals, roaming mascots, the arts & crafts corner, cheerleaders, tumblers, Taekwondo demos, climbing walls, critter shows, a Talladega Superspeedway pace car, Star Wars characters, and other great family fun!

If you can not make it out to the Noble Street Festival and Sunny King Criterium, sit back at home and enjoy the races for free streaming on the internet!  To access the livestream on Saturday, go to: http://www.annistoncycling.com/videos/
