“Give Up The Ghost” is the continuation of the Freezemachine story in anime style illustration.
Alternative rock band Freezemachine led by visionary frontman Jordan Schmidt, is thrilled to announce the release of their Premiere four-part music video tetralogy. This immersive Music Video collection weaves a captivating narrative of a parallel universe through stunning anime-inspired visuals and the band’s signature fusion of Nu Metal, Post-Punk, and Shoegaze, creating a sonic story-driven experience that explores themes of mental health, self-discovery and resilience.
Freezemachine’s sound defies traditional rock norms, featuring eccentric beats, creative riffs, and passionate vocals that cut through with raw intention. Drawing from influences like Deftones, Spiritbox, Jimmy Eat World, Nirvana, My Bloody Valentine, and Slowdive, the band’s music turns inner turmoil into music that resonates deeply. Freezemachine hopes to inspire fans to triumph over struggles, and reminds them they’re not alone through the power of community and sound.
The tetralogy includes:
- “Thought You Knew“: A breakout hit that dominated MTV’s Metal Thrashing Madness (season 1) for four consecutive months.
- “Edge of a Knife“: Another Season 1 standout, showcasing the band’s melodic yet heavy tones.
- “It’s All Over“: Currently airing on MTV’s Metal Thrashing Madness (Season 2), amplifying FREEZEMACHINE’s growing presence.
- “Give Up The Ghost“: The brand-new video drop, serving as the climactic chapter in this interconnected tale.
When viewed in sequence, these four videos unfold a gripping storyline of a parallel universe, blending high-energy rock performances with anime aesthetics for a truly cinematic journey.
“These videos aren’t just visuals—they’re a portal to the stories we all carry inside,” says Jordan Schmidt. “By sharing this tetralogy, we want to build a community where no one fights alone.”
