Eldwin and Maren are dispatched to the border of Osnen, where a horde of goblins threatens the mining towns. A journey to the Terranese school uncovers dark secrets, and when Maren is bound by a powerful enchantment, Eldwin must descend into the heart of the school to find a way to free her. But lurking in the shadows is a creature so dangerous that not even his dragon can defeat it.

Dragon Riders of Osnen spans 17 books, 15 in the main series, and 2 “prequel” books that are stand alone stories set in the same world.

The main series follows Eldwin Baines, a reluctant hero with a disability that struggles with the costs of wielding great power and making difficult moral choices. It’s very character driven, and it’s a classic dragon rider fantasy with a fast-paced, episodic structure.

It incorporates several well-known tropes, including:
