The dilapidated tracks that snake through Alexandria’s wealthy townhomes and condominiums were once vital to the industries they served. Today, the industries are long gone and the tracks have little remaining purpose. The majority of this railroad spur is owned the Norfolk Southern, although it seems unlikely a train will ever journey over these tracks again.
