Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

As Certified Child Life Specialists with years of experience in pediatric care, our goal is to help children and families cope with challenging medical experiences. Margie Goes to Work is the culmination of our dedication to making hospitals a place where comfort and healing go hand in hand.

We believe that every child should feel comforted and supported during hospital stays. With Margie Goes to Work, we’re aiming to help children feel less afraid and more empowered as they face medical experiences, and we would love your help to bring this story to life.

We are hopeful to have this book in as many hospitals, pediatric clinics, and homes as possible. Every contribution, big or small helps us get closer to our goal. Thank you!

This children’s book is for young children who may be facing new diagnoses, extended hospital stays, surgeries, or other medical experiences that make them feel scared or different. With relatable illustrations and a gentle narrative, Margie Goes to Work is designed to reassure kids and their families and inform families about facility dogs and the benefits of pet therapy in a hospital setting.

As of January 6th, this project has raised $7,600 of their $7,500 goal. This project has 24 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $20, you will get one book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/margiegoestowork/margie-goes-to-work?
