Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:  https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

“HUMAN REFERENCES” is a collection of over 140 drawings created by Kibbitzer during the last four years. In this book, you can find several poses, actions, and gestures to use in your drawings, like reading, surfing, fighting, and many more!

“HUMAN REFERENCES” is the second volume of the “References” series by Kibbitzer.
It will be printed in 17x24cm size, with a soft cover with French folds, and it will be suitable for all ages. It will also be available in PDF, for those who prefer digital copies.
The book is divided into FIVE parts:
  • FULL-BODY: full-body poses from different angles to help you with foreshortening and with placing the human figure in an imaginary 3D environment to give out the illusion of depth;
  • COUPLES: couple poses and interactions, that can be used for comics, layouts and character art;
  • GESTURES: a big chapter about daily and unusual gestures to help you with your character’s personality;
  • COMIC PANELS: a chapter about comics, with detailed explanations and descriptions on how to choose panels and how to cut your shots to improve your storytelling and composition skills;
  • EXTRA: a few references on eyes, hands, and clothes.

As of October 1st, this project has raised $32,000 of their $7,197 goal. This project has 2 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $8, you will get one eBook.  For a pledge of $17, you will get one book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kudoseditore/human-references-by-kibbitzer?
