Crowdsourcing Mornings: Rivals 2

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Rivals 2 is the sequel to our hit indie fighting game, Rivals of Aether. We’ve been working on this game behind the scenes for the last 3 years and need your help to get it across the finish line. With Rivals 2 our goal is to create the next generation of platform fighter. One that both satisfies the masters of the genre and is fun to play for newcomers. Rivals 2 is taking all of the lessons we learned with Rivals of Aether, and expanding our horizons with new modes, mechanics, and even better online support.

At its heart, Rivals 2 is a multiplayer brawler where our unique character designs and fast-paced gameplay shines. Choose your own Rival to bring onto the battlefield, and harness the powers of the classical elements and animal movement to clobber your friends.

Rivals 2 is designed to be played both online and locally with a ton of content for competitive and casual players alike. Style on your opponents in style with skins and other cool cosmetics to customize your look.

As of December 6th, this project has raised $767,000 of their $200,000 goal. This project has 9 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $5, you will get digital wallpapers.  For a pledge of $30, you will get one digital game.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/danfornace/rivals-2?
