Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment! Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others. The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal. Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Catfish are sweet, cuddly cat and koi hybrid creatures who spend their days peacefully swimming, napping under lily pads, and chasing tadpoles. They were first discovered in 2017 by CloverPuff, and made their debut as small, 7 inch plush friends. After moving them to a roomier pond, we’ve discovered that some of the Catfish have started growing larger and softer than our original fish. These new friends require substantial resources to keep and care for, which is why we have come to Kickstarter. For a small adoption fee, we will send you your very own, 14 inch mochi-style Catfish plush. Help us create a school of extra large squish fish!
CloverPuff is a small independent brand focused on creating cute, animal-themed products and apparel since our founding in 2014. We sell our wares at numerous comic anime, and furry conventions across the United States.
We have a lot of experience producing plush, pins, and other merchandise, and are looking for some extra support in gathering funds to bring larger projects to life. This is why we have decided to launch a Kickstarter—in the hopes that we can bring our giant Catfish into reality.
As of September 17th, this project has raised $6,000 of their $4,000 goal. This project has 2 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $12, you will get one pin. For a pledge of $30, you will get one XL Catfish. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cloverpuffart/squish-fish-plush-and-pins?
