Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment! Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others. The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal. Please enjoy today’s featured project!

My name is Shawn Abrams and I created this Kickstarter for my son, Cain, Age 9.
At the age of 7 he began coming to us with these ideas for games and like many parents we went “that’s nice honey.” and sent him off to play. One day while it was just me and him, he came up to me and said i made another game want to play it? Again I said that’s nice and he started to walk away, but then i thought, I’m not doing anything right now and I brush him off every time so why not. I said Cain wait come back and show me.
Well surprisingly the game he showed me actually worked, was fun, fairly easy to learn and play. Months later with some minor refinements he achieved his first official registered copyright in Washington, DC for his game Upto 100! I couldn’t be more proud!
He told me when he was 7 that his goal was to create 10 different games before he turned 8. He created 5 of them by his 8th birthday and now he has over 115 different games in many various stages of development, some finished many not. He spends hours a week playing and researching other games that are already out there to see what works and what he can tweak and incorporate into his creations and sometimes even comes up with a few truly original ideas.
He collectively puts all his creations together under one umbrella called Kink Games.
Now he has created a game that has been fully developed, professionally printed and in a retail format ready to hit the world but needs some help from people like you to get it off the ground and make it his first game available to people outside our little friends and family circle.
Get ready for TOO MANY DICE. An easy game to learn and fun to play. It is designed for 2-5 players, has 42 cards and 85 multi-colored dice!
Play is simple and straight forward. Play a card roll the dice and move your game token; it’s that simple but watch out for those nasty cards that can set you back a few spaces or a lot! There are also a few exciting cards that can change everything in an instant.
First to finish or farthest along wins!
Good Luck, have fun and it is okay to use 2 hands when playing TOO MANY DICE!
As of July 5th, this project has raised $500 of their $2,100 goal. This project has 15 days left to raise the $2,100 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $50, you will get one game. For a pledge of $100, you will get one signed game. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1928508922/too-many-dice?
