Crowdsourcing Mornings: Transition Book

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:

Transition will document America’s response to the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, as the nation celebrates the historic achievement of the first woman, and the first person of Black and South Asian ancestry, to rise to the office of vice president. And, of course, it will tell the story of Donald Trump‘s final days in the White House, bringing an end to one of the most divisive and tumultuous U.S. presidencies in modern times.

The team of talented photographers participating in this project will capture the celebrations, joy, relief and, yes, protests and anger in Washington, D.C. and all across the country that was seen through early voting, election day, the historic Georgia runoff, and the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol, with it all culminating on inauguration day.

No one knows exactly how this will play out on inauguration day but, if what happened in recent history is our guide, we know to be ready for anything,

Four years ago, we documented the Trump inauguration in a successful Kickstarter project that resulted in the photo book UnPresidented: The Inauguration of Donald J. Trump and the People’s Response.

We believe Transition will stand as the much-needed coda to UnPresidented, capturing America’s hope for a better way forward, while recognizing the deep divisions that will linger long after Trump leaves the White House. Together, the books will tell the story of an incredible time in American history.

As of January 11th, this project has raised $6,500 of their $10,000 goal. This project has 26 days left to raise the $10,000 or it will not be funded.  For a pledge of $49, you will get one copy of Transition.  For a pledge of $80, you will get two copies of Transition.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
