King of the Nerds Season 2 Premieres Tonight

Last year, a new show called King of the Nerds premiered on TBS. The show featured 11 contestants who lived together in “Nerdvana” and competed in challenges until one was crowned the winner. One problem was the final challenge to crown the winner. But this year, the hosts and executive producers, Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong from Revenge of the Nerds, are promising some changes for season 2. For one, there will be no popularity contest to determine the winner. The hosts have come up with the nerdiest solution possible to determine the winner of season 2.

Season 2 will have a brand new “Nerdvana” at a new location, as the show was unable to secure the season one location. The location is easier to shoot in, and it’s also easier to set up bigger and better challenges! Season 2 will also have great judges in the challenges, plus some of the new challenges will include a giant robot dodgeball challenge, Nerdiocart challenge, Harry Potter themed challenge, and a science fair. Also new this year, one of the contestants is “The People’s Nerd”, where people got to vote on one person online to be on the show.

For season 2, we have two contestants from the south on the show! Mary Kate is 23 from Starkville, MS. She is currently an aerospace engineering student and avid costumer. Also, Kelsey is 23 from Canton, GA. She is an quad-lingual Japanophile who is equally as interested in playing video game music on the piano as she is keeping up with fantasy/sci-fi novels and swing dancing. Guest judges for season 2 will include Bill Nye, George Takei, Yaya Han, Mayim Bialik, Jon Heder, Kevin Sorbo, and Kumail Nanjiani.
