Welcome to the Trainscapes segment! Each week here on Geek Alabama, Trainscapes will feature train content including videos of trains and behind the scenes action of trains and locomotives. Some people have an interest in seeing trains, and we here at Geek Alabama aim to please the train lovers!

Since The Montana Rail Link was taken over by the BNSF, lots of changes have taken place! Locomotives have been scattered, operations changed up, and the loss of the MRLs identity. Lets take a look at some sharp looking MRL SD40s, and learn what’s next for them.

We’ll focus on three MRL units that came through Northtown Yard recently, and learn of their sad fate ahead of them. In addition to this, older video, and memories of other MRL coming through the Twin Cities will also be highlighted. To top it all off, we’ll see this train heading off in AMAZING storm light, as these locomotives ride off for their new home.
