Vera is a German Shorthaired Pointer who was used for hunting and when she got ill, the owner bought a new dog and placed Vera outside, in a partially enclosed yard. She got hit by a car and was then chained there so that she cannot escape anymore. She was being fed by the people living nearby, but years passed and her health deteriorated. Fortunately, a passer-by noticed Vera and contacted us to rescue her, so Vera is now safe in our care.
