“American Space Folk” band Electric Blue Yonder invites the young and young at heart to step into a world of color, wonder, and nature’s magic with the official music video for “Sun and Shower.” This uplifting song is the first single from MicroPARTY, a bold new music and multimedia project designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and connection for kids and families. The MicroPARTY album will be released on April 25 and the “Sun and Shower” music video and single are out today!
“Sun and Shower” celebrates the beauty of sunshine and rain and the way they work together to bring life and growth. Incorporating aspects of Baroque style, the song uses violin, cello, and a staccato melody to express growing flowers’ need for sun, water, and love.
With whimsical puppetry, dreamy visuals, and a heartwarming message, the “Sun and Shower” video brings the song’s themes to life in a way that kids and adults alike will love.
MicroPARTY is a world of unlimited imagination – a musical adventure where storytelling, science, art, and play come together through vibrant songs, interactive performances, and engaging visuals. Think classic children’s television meets modern indie creativity, built for today’s young minds without underestimating them.
The “Sun and Shower” single and video are released in conjunction with Electric Blue Yonder’s MicroPARTY Live variety show, which premieres today at the Studios of Key West in partnership with Bravo Theatre and Southernmost Youth Orchestra.
ABOUT ELECTRIC BLUE YONDER:
A traveling troupe of intrepid space folk explorers, Electric Blue Yonder examines the mysteries of the universe and reports their findings through song. Described as “Real American Space Folk,” the band draws its inspiration from the psychedelic folk, surf, and cosmic country rock of the ‘60s and the Space Age prog/art rock explorations of David Bowie and Pink Floyd, all while shifting time to the early roots and parlour style guitar of the 20th century. The result is a genre-bending mix that captures a nostalgic familiarity while simultaneously transporting listeners into uncharted territory. Electric Blue Yonder albums for adults include Loved & Lost (2024), Mourning Sounds (2021), Between Space and Time (2020), and Born of the Sky (2017).
The MicroPARTY album will be available digitally on all major platforms, with a limited vinyl and CD release available through the Electric Blue Yonder website HERE.
