Hi everyone! I’m Kevin Conn the creator of Commander Tomorrow. What an adventure it’s been to get to this moment. I must be honest; it took me a long time to write this because it still feels so surreal. My comic is finally going to be seen! See, I started to come up with this idea over TEN YEARS AGO.

With my background in comedy, it started as a comedic sci-fi story, then when that didn’t go anywhere, I thought I’d make a monthly science fiction comic then when that didn’t feel like it was working, well I started to fall into a deeper depression. I’ve battled with depression since High School, but honestly, I knew it was with me as far back as 8 years old, it just wasn’t talked about back then.

Once I made this story more personal and a love letter to everything that got me through in life. From films, TV shows, cartoons, comics and of course action figures, the story became something bigger and exciting for me. I’ve always loved those worlds of wonder and I always loved creating my own too. Imagination is so vital to us all. What wonderful superpower we all have. Sadly, depression can weaken us, but with hope I never fully gave up.

Now this dream, MY dream is in your hands to see it through. Commander Tomorrow is made from love, hope wrapped up in a sci-fi adventure for young and old alike. A story about someone still trying to figure out his life, battle his demons and save a universe…with some assembly required. The book is finished, fully illustrated and colored, the lettering is done and will have so many pinups from some amazing artists in the industry. So, let’s finish this dream, this adventure to the stars and beyond!

Kyle Landon is a dreamer struggling to figure out who he is and where he’s heading in life. All the while, battling his depression and dealing with bouts of anxiety. But now his internal war will take him to a new war in a universe based on his favorite cartoon from his childhood.

Kyle becomes COMMANDER TOMORROW: The Space Adventurer!! With the help of the warrior VEGA, all Kyle must do is become the hero he was destined to become and save a universe by battling the villainous ZYGORE plus his evil army of SLYMEBORGZ…some assembly required.

Beyond good…

Beyond evil…

Beyond the stars…

Beyond your wildest dreams… This is…

COMMANDER TOMORROW!

The goal of the Kickstarter is to get the comic formatted for print and into your hands as quickly as possible! The more we raise the more stretch goals are unlocked and the more add ons we can offer. The stretch goals will be revealed as the campaign progresses and when they unlock we’ll reveal the next ones. We think everyone will be pleasantly surprised by each!

So, what am I getting for my pledge? All backers at the $24 tier will receive the softcover graphic novel, printed at 6″x9″ – approximately 120 pages of content!

As of February 13th, this project has raised $5,100 of their $3,000 goal. This project has 29 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $15, you will get one PDF novel.  For a pledge of $24, you will get one graphic novel.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rocketshipkids/commander-tomorrow-graphic-novel?
