Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:  https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

Before we talk about Casinopolis, let’s go back to the very beginning for a moment…

Casinopolis is a standalone Sprawlopolis game. What that means is that it uses the core concepts of Sprawlopolis in all new ways. But let’s talk about Sprawlopolis for a moment.

Sprawlopolis is Button Shy’s best selling and highest rated game. Ever since it Kickstarted in 2018, it never stopped. We’ve reprinted it so many times, and it’s available in over 10 different languages and regions across the world.

It’s been in the top 400 games of all time at Board Game Geek, The Dice Tower’s top 100 games of all time, The People’s Choice top 200 solo games of all time, peaking at # 18, and was a Golden Geek nominee twice for best solo and best card game.

And on a personal level, it’s the game that connected us to so many people. Fans like Lars Tuft who played through all 816 combinations until he won them all. Reviewers like Shut Up and Sit Down that brought us more new fans in a single day than you would think is possible, and the team with Danny, Steven, Paul, Marty, Filip, Milan, Michelle, Ian, Vince, and everyone else who has worked behind the scenes on this continuous series of games.

We’re happy to continue to explore the world of Sprawlopolis, and the wonderful opportunities this excellent game has brought to Button Shy.

And now, onto Casinopolis!

Casinopolis is a standalone entry in the Sprawlopolis line of games, and plays similarly to the original with a few new twists. Place cards in an expanding map to create large groups of casinos, line up jackpot icons along roads, and balance scoring from three unique goals. You’ll need a little luck and a whole lot of skill to maximize your winnings!

As of February 6th, this project has raised $30,000 of their $2,000 goal. This project has 9 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $3, you will get one print and play.  For a pledge of $12, you will get one game.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/239309591/casinopolis?
